In my work as a Forensic Storyteller, I often look for the “why” behind the wreckage. With this track, the focus shifted to the “how”; specifically, how we allow ourselves to be used as a getaway vehicle for people who have no intention of reaching a destination.

The sound of Empty Tank is intentionally restless. I wanted the mechanical, driving rhythm to mirror that feeling of a “hard mile” trek away from a future-faker. It’s a song about the heavy cost of emotional labor and the sudden, sharp clarity that comes when you realize you’ve been fueling a hollow echo.

When the tank is dry and the power is cut, you don’t just stop; you exit. This isn’t just a song about leaving; it’s about the liberation of finally being out of gas for everyone but yourself.
